Czocha Castle is one of the most captivating and mysterious strongholds in Poland, where over two centuries of history blend with the magic and mysteries of Lower Silesia. Rising majestically above the misty waters of Lake Leśniańskie, the castle lures visitors with the promise of an unforgettable adventure. It's a legendary place where reality gives way to fairy tales. Why is it worth entering Czocha Castle? Labyrinthine Hidden Passages: Discover secrets hidden behind movable wardrobes and underground corridors. Dark Legends: Learn the terrifying story of the Well of Unfaithful Wives and the castle's ghosts. Fairytale Architecture: Admire the monumental structure that has served as the backdrop for numerous famous films.

The first mentions of Grodziec Castle appear in a 1155 papal bull issued by Pope Adrian IV. Twenty years later, Duke Bolesław the Tall granted privileges to the Cistercians of Lubiąż. Apart from 13th-century references to two castellans of the stronghold, little is known about the history of the castle, which was a wooden structure at the time. Henry the Bearded replaced the wooden building with a masonry one, which was systematically expanded over the centuries.

Events of regional and international scope have been held here for years. The famous Knight’s Tournament, the Wine and Mead Festival, and the Song Festival attract thousands of tourists every year. Grodziec Castle has also become a favorite among film producers.
